Fun with chalk

Jonathan came in the other day from playing outside saying "mommy, look at my hands!" For a few moments I couldn't quite figure out why in the world his hands were pink... then I realized he had colored his hands with chalk.

Landon's Baptism

A couple of weekend's ago my newest nephew, Landon, was baptized. The service was celebrated both by my dad, a deacon in the Catholic Church, and Father Dan, the priest that married my brother and sister-in-law. It was a beautiful service!

The 2nd Easter Sunday Celebration

After Easter Sunday Mass in Denver, we drove down to Colorado Springs to celebrate the rest of the day with my parents. The kids had another Easter egg hunt! They were really living the dream by truly eating candy all day. Here's Grammy helping the kids open some of their eggs.
Here's Grammy again helping Jonathan navigate his Easter basket (the yellow truck).

Happy Easter!

It's great to be Catholic because we are still celebrating Easter! (Catholics celebrate this holiday for 50 days) So, I can't feel bad about posting Easter Sunday photos now. :-) The kids had a grand time searching for eggs and eating tons and tons of candy!Catherine was great at finding eggs. The second one she found was one hidden in the creases of the couch.Yes, Catherine had just shoved a piece of candy in her mouth.......and here they both are shoving candy in their mouths.... ...still yet, Jonathan is shoving candy in his mouth!

Family picture right after church. We were amazed that at one shot everyone was looking at the camera! YEAH!

We hope that you experience Christ's peace and love this Easter season! Happy Easter.

Park

As Spring unfolds, so does the kiddos desire to play more outside. So, we traveled to the park the other day... we all had a blast!

I go back and forth as to let Jonathan climb up slides or not... right now I think if there is no one else at the park then it's okay. So, there was no one else at the park... he was SO PROUD of himself.
Here he goes:

Getting closer:

Closer yet:

And... boy that is a bummer. I thought that I had his arrival at the top of the slide uploaded. Maybe I will get to doing it soon. Until then, you can just imagine his joy.

Who knew umbrellas were so much fun?

Jonathan did, that's who. The other day it started raining, and Jonathan asked if he could stand out in the rain with an umbrella. Who was I to rain on his parade? he he He LOVED it! He stood out there for a good 20 minutes smiling and laughing. This kid cracks me up!

Zoo

When Chris's parents were visiting, we made a trip to the Zoo. It was the PERFECT day to visit! The weather was gorgeous (the day before was snowing), all the animals out and the kids were well behaved. I was overjoyed that Grandma Mary and Grandpa Dave got to experience the Denver Zoo on such a beautiful day. The first exhibit are the lions... it was picturesque. They were lounging on the rocks just waiting to have their pictures taken.

Grandma Mary and Grandpa Dave holding the kiddos in front of the elephants- one of the two animals that Jonathan was most excited about seeing. Though, he only wanted to look at them for about less than 2 minutes.

Grandma Mary and Catherine gazing at the giraffe's.

This was perfect... I didn't have to pull the wagon anymore. Jonthan was really excited about doing it! This was just a picture I couldn't resist taking.

Catherine loved seeing the bears, she kept waving and saying "hi!'

Then, there were the brown bears:

The last stop was the carousel.
