The Hop

Last Monday Chris had the day off. So, we took a trip down to "The Hop." I just recently found this place, and it has been a blast! The best part about it, is that it is less than 5 minutes from our house and reasonably priced. "The Hop" has "over 4500 square feet of inflatable excitement... a place to let your children (and their guests) climb, jump, slide and run in a specially designed atmosphere." It is sooooooooo much fun! And because we went on a Monday we practically had the place to ourselves. It was wonderful!!

I think that boxing glove is bigger than Jonathan!

Chris' Trip to Alabama

Chris took a trip down to Mobile, AL a couple of weeks ago, for a week. He was able to speak at a church down there for our personal support team. All of his hardwork paid off and he was able to meet new people and spend some quality time with donors that have been dedicated to Chris's mission with FOCUS for quite some time. Thank you to all the dedicated individuals and families down in Alabama. We truly appreciate your excitment and support of FOCUS and Chris's work.

One of the evenings one of our donors (a.k.a mission partners) wanted to take Chris out on their boat to enjoy the sunset... looks to me that everyone had a good time!

Wedding Shower

Last Saturday I was able to host, along with the other bridesmaids, a wedding shower for my dear friend Ann. It was incredible to see the amount of people (about 25) who attended so as to shower her with their love. She is an amazing woman and has touched the hearts and lives of many people! Ann has had a tremendous impact on my life, and I am excited to support her during this time as she prepares for her vocation of marriage as she did for me.

Ann will be getting married on Mother's Day- just a few short months away. All thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated, I am sure.

From left to right: Anne, the matron of honor (who is due with her first child in 3 weeks), Ann Zimmer (and her 3 week old niece), Cynthia (who is due with her first child in 4 months). There were lots of expecting mothers and brand new babies at the shower... it was wonderful!

We were able to play the "create the best wedding dress with toliet paper" game. Everyone had a blast!

Ann got LOTS and LOTS of gifts!

Is this really safe??

So, the other day I looked over at Catherine after putting her into the "soothing vibrating seat" and this is what I saw...

She was determined to suck on the switch that turns the vibrations on and off. After I chuckled for awhile I started wondering if she is really safe in the seat anymore. he he (note: I do strap her in!)

She realized I caught her red-handed! he he

Play Dough

Jonathan had his first playdough experience last week! We had a blast! Thank you to Aunt Quinn who made a really cool apron for Jonathan for "creative" play. He loved wearing it and playing with the play dough.

Watching some other kiddos

Also while Chris was gone I was able to help out another mom in the area and watch her kiddos for a couple of hours. They are GREAT kids and come over quite frequently to play. But, what is really nice is that they all like Baby Einstein videos. I was really impressed that all three of them sat on the couch for the entire video AND didn't make a peep! he he

Special Crowns

Chris was out of town all last week and on one of the evenings our good friends had me and the kiddos over for dinner- which I greatly appreciated and enjoyed! I forgot how hard it is to cook for 1... so I didn't. he he But, right before we sat down to eat dinner, their kids came down with "crowns" for everyone!

Ready, Set, Crawl!

No, Catherine isn't crawling yet... but she will be soon!
