My sister, Anna, came up yesterday to spend time with me and the kiddos (and to meet with the deejay for her wedding). But, as we were hanging out in the front yard she convinced me that Catherine needed her first haircut. My neighbor, Courtenay, brought over her haircutting scissors- and some margaritas. I had no idea what I was doing... but we all had a great time. Catherine sat so still. The best thing about the occassion, is that she no longer has a mullet. he he Though, I can't wait till she gets more hair and I can take her somewhere to get it done. :-)
Anna held Catherine. I did the cutting and Courtenay snapped the photos.
This is what her hair looked like from the back- which is really the only place you will find hair on her head
The first snip...
and another...
Am I having a good time or what??
And, we were practically finished here

Hammond's Candy Factory
Last week we visited Hammond's Candy Factory. Little did I know that there was a "world renowned" candy factory just minutes from our house. The tour consisted of a five minute video on how candy is made and the history of the factory. Walking, then, into the next room and watching them make the candy (that day they were making Christmas candy) behind some glass:
The temperature in the room that they are working ranges from 95-105 degrees!
The tour came to a close when we walked down the hall to see them packaging up the candy in boxes. ha ha
I was grateful to have something to do with the kiddos that was free! Plus, I was able to see some friends I hadn't seen in quite some time.
This was the group I attended with. The kids were all smiling in the picture because our tour guide had just told them that everyone was getting a free candy cane afterwards.

Pajamas
There is nothing that makes Jonathan happier than being able to stay in his pajamas until well after breakfast. This particular morning we were not going anywhere and I was just folding laundry on my bed. He was so excited to lay and hangout on my (it's also Chris's) bed with his blanket.

It's the little things in life, right??

Outside
The weather has been gorgeous in the evenings. So, after dinner we have been venturing to our backyard... where lots of fun things happen!
Catherine uses the lawn mower to better her walking skills
Jonathan tries to help Catherine improve her walking skills by "gently" pushing her along... though, in this picture he is genuinely hugging her
Chris teaches Jonthan how to hit a baseball
And, I get to cuddle with with the kids

Our new favorite fun...
Berry Patch Farms
The entire family headed out to Patch Berry Farms, an all organic pick-your- own farm last Friday. I had heard from several families that it was a GREAT place go with kiddos. There were lots of various produce available for picking. After much debate we decided to pick strawberries. It was so much fun!! (sorry, I loaded the pictures in backwards! he he)
We filled two of these containers of strawberries! YUMMY! (yes, that is Catherine in my back)
They had a pig the kids could pet. Jonathan got a kick out of him!
They also had chickens.. which Jonathan is still talking about today
Chris and Jonathan picking some strawberries
We're really having fun now
Hats off to you, mom!
I think Jonathan ate more strawberries than he picked!
Jonathan loved trying to find the red ones

And she's walking
A few weeks ago Catherine started walking! It is SO CUTE.. with the exception that she keeps falling on her face. She looks like she has been in a few street fights. Poor girl. But, these pictures are adorable! (not that I am biased or anything)

Bronocos game
Chris scored three FREE tickets to the Broncos game the other night! Chris and I had never been before- though Brent had been a few times before. We had a great time hanging out and watching football upclose and personal... we were sitting five rows back from the end zone. The evening couldn't have been any better, the weather was perfect, the company was great and the seats were fantastic!
Yeah, we were really close!

Power Wheels
Our neighbors, who have become dear friends of ours, have a power wheels. Whenever Trace (the 3 year old) is out driving around, Jonathan wants to hop in too! The other day, Trace and Jonathan were taking a break and Catherine wanted to experience the truck. Though, she didn't drive she had a blast sitting in it!
