Christmas cookies
Like the year before last, we made sugar cookies for this past Christmas! This time the kids were old enough to "help' me roll and cut out the cookies. They absolutely loved it!
And, Jonathan quickly learned that he does like to eat flour right off the counter. It's not appealing to me, but who am I to stop an underweight child from eating?? If you can call flour food...

Grammy and Playdough
Jonathan and Catherine ALWAYS love playing with Grammy and Granddaddy. From drums to books to yummy treats the kids have a blast with them. So, I didn't hesitate to bring them down to Colorado Springs last month when Chris was out of town for a week.
One of the MANY fun things the kids did with Grammy was playdough. My mom had gotten this moster playdough set that was really cool! They made hair out of playdough, attached eyes, hats, ears, arms, etc... to the blobs of playdough to make monsters. So fun!

Sprint anyone?
So, in the recent past we have had some difficulties with the customer service at Verizon. Chris and I are contemplating leaving Verizon and moving over to Sprint, for our cell phone service. Does anyone out there have Sprint? If so, what are your thoughts? Do you like your coverage? Their plans? Customer service?

Tent from Aunt Amy
One of the gifts that the kids got for Christmas was this cool tent from Aunt Amy- Chris's sister. The kids absolutely love it! The other day I put it up and we spent almost the entire day, and the two days after, in it. We read books, played with Mrs. Potato Head, read books, played with cars and read books.
Landon
On December 28, 2009 I became an aunt, again! My brother and his wife had their second son, Landon Arrington. I don't remember exact stats, but I think that he weighed in around 7lbs! He is so cute!!
Congratulations, Brent and Quinn! I hope that the transition to two kiddos is going as smooth as possible. Can't wait to see you all again soon.

Festival of Lights
One of the Christmas gifts that Jonathan and Catherine received was an annual pass to the Denver Zoo. (Thanks to Grammy and Granddaddy!!) Included in the pass were tickets to the Annual Festival of Lights at the Zoo- it takes place around Christmas up until a few days after the new year. So, on a very chilly (a mere 30 degrees) Sunday evening we headed down to see all the lights at the zoo. We had a grand time walking around AND riding on the carousal. On the way out we did get to see the hippo and elephants since they have an inside exhibit.
