Abby at 4 months

Yes, it's true that Abby is now 4 months old! The time flies- but it flies with good times and great memories. Jonathan and Catherine continue to adore her and give her all the attention she deserves. I finally feel like I am getting a handle on a schedule and learning to juggle things with three kiddos a bit better...

When I took her in for her well-child doctor's visit these were her stats:
weight: 14lbs 2oz (50th percentile)
length: 26 inches (90th percentile)

I was a little anxious before she was born about clothes- since Catherine was born on an opposite season- but she is as big as Catherine was when she was 9 months old. So, Catherine's old clothes are working out! YEAH!

Parks!

Yeah! It's "park season" again. We have been able to explore a couple of new parks nearby- especially when Chris got the flu recently (I had to find things to do to get everyone out of the house so that we all didn't get it).

This park was especially fun since there was a pond to throw sticks and rocks into!

"Mom can we go home? We are tired and hungry..."

P.S. I was wearing Abby in my Baby Bijorn- so I couldn't easily take a picture of her, but she was there too!

Water Table

Aunt Amy got the kids a water table last year for Catherine's 1st birthday. Since the weather has been nice I pulled it out again... almost everyday they ask if they can fill it up. It's a great toy! It totally keeps them occupied for an extended period of time- or until they have emptied all the water onto the grass or onto each other's heads.

Thanks, Aunt Amy, for a wonderful gift!!!

Let's go fly a kite, up to the highest height...

Does the memory of watching Mary Poppins come to mind?? It did for me when we decided to purchase a kite... I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never flown a kite before. But, the day couldn't have been more perfect. It was the perfect temperature, the kids were excited and there was a bit of a breeze. They kite went up without a fuss (after we put it together correctly)! After being in the air for about 30 minutes we decided it was time to wrap up and go home. We all had a BLAST!We got the kite up pretty high:Everyone took turns holding it while it was flying...

The kids ran around quite a bit! They slept well that night!

Abby did come with us... she hung out in the stroller the entire time. But, I completely forgot to take pictures of her!

Abby

It's hard to believe that Abby will be 4 months old in just a few short days... I look forward to taking her in for a well-child visit to see how much she weighs. She is most definitely the largest of my children yet- which still doesn't say much! he he She is already in 6 month clothes (Catherine didn't wear 6 months clothes until she was 9 months, and Jonathan had to be at least 6 months or older). Abby's disposition is super happy and laid back. She hangs out in the midst of the craziness of Jonathan and Catherine running and screaming (playing) all over the house and me keeping up with them. She continues to sleep well (9 hours at night). Recently, she has discovered her hands, can hold things and giggles lots. All are very cute! Finally, just this past weekend she started rolling over- she wants to be able to keep up with her older siblings.

P.S. She still has that red hair!

I'm here, after 2 months!

My dear friend, Julie, asked me the other day why I hadn't posted any pictures up on the blog for awhile... and I didn't have a good excuse- except that transitioning to having 3 kiddos is keeping me very busy! Life is GREAT, Abby is fun and the other kids are growing like weeds. We are having a lot of fun these days, especially since Spring has sprung and we have been able to play outside. YEAH! So, stay tuned for some updates and pictures. I appreciate your reading my blog!

Anna and Justin's visit

As I mentioned in a previous post, my sister and her husband came out for the baptism- therefore staying for the extended weekend! We had a nice time catching up and spending time together. The kids always enjoy their time with their aunt and uncle!
Auntie Anna did a GREAT job holding Abby! She was practicing for their baby boy, due in July.
For Jonathan's birthday, Auntie Anna and Uncle Justin gave him some "big boy" legos (a.k.a. the tiny legos). It's a really neat set with a bulldozer and another working machine- which went perfectly with the construction site lego set that my parents gave him. Uncle Justin and Jonathan had a grand time putting it together then playing with them:Another birthday gift was a soccer/hockey/lacrosse goal and accessories. Again, much fun was had with it:
