Easter Monday

On Easter Monday, after coming back from my parents house, we "celebrated" Easter here with a little egg hunt and small Easter baskets. The kids had fun getting some new toys and Jonathan loved eating candy all morning.

Jonathan's Easter basket

Jonathan looking for eggs... they were hidden in really tough spots like on the kitchen floor.

Once I showed Jonathan that there was candy in the eggs he was REALLY excited to find more.

Yummy candy!!

Catherine happy as a lark watching Jonathan go through his basket.

Catherine's new toy. Chris has figured out how to play ALL sorts of songs on the piano/xylophone/crocodile

Dying Easter Eggs

We spent Easter weekend down in Colorado Springs with my family and while we were there my mom got out an egg dying kit. At first wasn't too excited, but my sister-in-law, Quinn, inspired me to get into the spirit. Though, I still didn't too much it was exciting to see Jonathan and Padriac so excited to dye and decorate eggs. Jonathan really got into putting stickers on the eggs. I have to give kuddos to my mom and Quinn for their excitment and involvement in the activity... without them the egg dying wouldn't have succeeded.

Even Auntie Anna got excited to decorate some eggs!

When Jonathan wasn't trying to drink the dye, he was actually coloring the eggs. He did a GREAT job and had a good time.

Padriac was more into his nose at first... but after awhile he got a little bit more interested in the activity

She's 9 months

Catherine is now 9 months! She is crawling all around the house and pulling herself up. Now that she can move around she is SO HAPPY! I catch her smiling and laughing constantly.

When I took her in for her 9 month appointment she's still a whopping 14 pounds (that's what she weighed at her 6 month appointment). So, she dropped from the 10th percentile to the 2nd. She might be little, but she can put down food! Catherine isn't picky and will eat whatever we give her in large amounts. he he

A typical day

The other day Chris got inspired to take a few pictures (it doesn't happen often)... while the kids were eating. So, here is what it looked like:

Chris wanted me to look at the camera... but Catherine is thinking "why have you not put this food in my mouth?"

Our little cutie pie

And of course Jonathan wanted his picture taken too!

Colorado's Crazy Weather

Last Thursday we got almost 2 feet of snow in a matter of a few short hours. (I wish I had taken a picture). A couple of days later, Sunday to be exact, it was pretty much all melted away. There was still enough snow, though, on the ground for Chris and Jonathan to build a snowman...

She's a movin'!

Last week Catherine learned how to go from a laying down position to sitting up. In the same day she started crawling! A couple of days later she was pulling herself up. It was a big week for our little girl!

It's so nice...

... to hold a sleeping baby. It's not very often that Catherine falls asleep in my arms. But, the other day she did!! It was a beautiful thing!
