More presents...

On Jonathan's actual birthday, last Wednesday, he opened up the gifts from us... which was a lot of fun!

He got a kick opening up gifts this year... the concept now is fun and exciting!

A really cool dump truck! He can actually fit in the dump bed, which has turned out to be a fun game. Then mom or dad (or whoever) can push him around the house!

His big gift was a bike. We are thankful that the weather has been gorgeous the past several days... as he wants to ride it numerous times everyday!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Jonathan!

Yes, it is hard to believe that Jonathan turns 2 years old today. It has been a great 2 years!! He is an incredible blessing to our family. His happiness, smiles and laughs brings so much joy to me and Chris.

Last Sunday, my family came over for a small birthday celebration; complete with cupcakes and ice cream. Jonthan had a blast playing with Gram, Granddaddy, Auntie Anna and (soon to be Uncle) Justin.

Gram and Grandaddy got him a "Neat and Tidy Cottage." What a hit! There was a group that put together the "cottage" while Jonathan was napping... so that when he got up it was ready for him to play in! It even has a portable phone for him to talk on- which is probably his favorite part.

We have had gorgeous weather this week, so Jonathan has enjoyed several days of playtime with it!

Happy Birthday, Jonathan! We love you.

How many adults does it take to put together a toddler "cottage?"

It's big enough that even Justin can fit in it!

Pat A Cake

Jonathan does a pretty good pat-a-cake... but it is hard to catch it on camera. So, this was the best I could do! Enjoy!

Bucks in the backyard

Last week Chris was out of town, so I headed down to my parents house for hangout and assistance! I was truly glad that I went. Not only because we had a great time playing with Gram and Grandaddy, but the kiddos both got colds and my parents really helped me out taking care of them.

One of the days we looked out into their backyard and there were 6 ginormous bucks hanging out. Jonathan was pretty excited (so were the rest of us).

Anyway, I thought it was a blog worthy story! he he

Putting on shoes

Jonathan figured out how to put his shoes on the other day... all by himself! Though, they were on the wrong feet, he still did them all by himself. He was extremely proud! So much so that he wanted me to take pictures of him. Well, I tried! But he wouldn't hold still. So, here a few of them... he he

Jonathan's new chair

With some of his Christmas money, Jonathan purchased a rocking chair that is just his size. It's pretty cute when he wants to hold Catherine while he is sitting in it!
