Jonathan is 19 pounds
There is a benefit to having a 19 pound 18 month old... he loves Catherine's baby toys (like the swing and exersauser). But, I don't have to worry about him breaking them because he is so light! he he

Our First Trip to the Zoo
We decided last Sunday that we would take Jonathan and Catherine to the zoo... and what fun we had! Jonathan eyes lit up with every animal he saw- he especially liked the elephant, bears and giraffes (just like his mom... I LOVED to feed the giraffes when I was little). We are looking forward to going back in the future.

Updated pictures
Catherine is now 2 months old! Time sure flies when you are having fun. She is sleeping great at night- she will give us about 5-6 hours of continuous sleep! YEAH! We are excited to introduce her to Chris's side of the family and some friends at the end of the month... as we will be travling to Indiana for a wedding, and will make a pit stop in Illinois for some family time. We are looking forward to the trip! Though, it will be interesting flying with two little kiddos. :-)
Jonathan really loves Catherine and pays A LOT of attention to her.

Everyday Life
Life is wonderful here in Denver, CO! We have not been doing anything particularly "exciting," but we are adjusting to life with two little kiddos. They are both growing and developing like weeds! Catherine will be 7 weeks tomorrow (Sunday). The past several weeks have just flown by.
Jonathan is doing well. He has started climbing up on chairs, using his own utensils for eating and walking up and down stairs. He is a good big brother and really tries to be a help around the house. The other day (this has actually happened a couple of times) he spilled some of his milk, so he ran over to grab the kitchen towel, came back to the spilled mik and wiped it up THEN hung the towel back up! He also LOVES to help with Catherine. He knows that when she is crying the pacifer can be of some assistance, so when she starts fussing he grabs the pacifer and brings it over to us- and often times will try to put it in her mouth. It is REALLY cute.
So, here are some pictures of our "everyday life:"

Jonathan sure loves his little sister!

Jonathan is a big boy now, and can walk up and down the stairs by himself!
Most nights we try to take a walk with the kiddos... and usually end up at nearby park for Jonathan to play on for a few minutes. The cool summer evenings here in Colorado have been wonderful to enjoy!

Grandma Mary and Grandpa Dave
We were elated to host Chris's parents for several days last week! It was great to intoduce them to Catherine and spend so much time with them! Grandma and Grandpa had so much fun with Jonathan and were so excited to hold Catherine. Jonathan, too, had a lot of fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa... he is now bored around the house without them (Mom isn't as fun. he he)
We had a lot of great times last week, from hiking to going to the park to playing wild games of Scrabble to just hanging out around the house. Thanks, Mary and Dave to a wonderful week. We miss you already!
Fun with Grandpa Dave at the park.

Catherine's Baptism
Last Saturday, July 28th, we had Catherine baptized! It was a great ceremony, in which my dad, who is a Deacon, presided and my brother and sister-in-law stood up as her godparents. We were also blessed with the attendance of Chris's parents and many friends. After the ceremony we had a little party with an ice cream bar and sweets at our home. It was a wonderful day celebrating and welcoming Catherine Ann into the church!
Just after being baptized, with Brent and Quinn- her godparents.
Catherine slept the entire ceremony!
